This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office (City of London location) and 2 days working from home.

 

Role Purpose

Lead the maintenance and enhancement of new and existing Mortgages, BTL &Bridging products and pricing strategies that are aligned with the business objectives. Research & scan the market landscape, competitors, new trends to identify opportunities to further develop the product suites.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor competitor criteria, price and process change within existing product sets. Share/educate with key stakeholders along with recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure any recommendations meet a customer need and are aligned with the banks conduct risk, consumer duty, financial targets and credit risk appetite.
  • Work with the immediate management team (Head of Product Development & Director of Proposition & Strategy) to support the existing product range including repricing, structural changes, criteria changes and other enhancements that can be delivered via intermediaries, the businesses portal and other mediums, to maximise sales opportunities and conversion.
  • Be a subject matter expert for residential property backed secured lending across the current market, emerging product trends and digital diversification.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the Commercial Director, Directors of Underwriting and Director of Operations opportunities and ensure implemented changes perform as expected.
  • Monitor key product indicators and maintain regular dashboards and reporting.

 

Skills and Experience sought: 

  • 5+ years experience within a mortgage or lending environment
  • Recent experience of creating or managing retail lending products
  • Mortgage/Bridging product management and/or Business Analysis
  • Understanding of the mortgage product lifecycle
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment and an intermediary sales culture.
  • Stakeholder and Change Management
