This is a hybrid role – 3 days in the office (City of London location) and 2 days working from home.

Role Purpose: 

The Risk Analyst will support the Head of Prudential Risk with the review, update and reporting of the Bank’s approach to capital and liquidity risks. These include, but are not limited to, the Risk Management Framework, Risk Policies (including overseeing the implementation of such policies), ICAAP, ILAAP and Recovery Plan. The Risk Analyst will also support the Head of Prudential Risk with ad hoc prudential related queries from the PRA and/or Management.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting in the development, implementation and documentation of risk models using excel and VBA as and when required
• Monitoring and understanding changes in prudential regulatory requirements
• Preparing risk analysis for relevant stakeholders and Committees in accordance with UTB’s risk governance (e.g. ICAAP)
• Presenting risk data and intelligence in a clear and effective way a
• Interpreting data, analysing themes and trend and communicating these to drive insights

Skills and Experience sought: 

• Excellent Microsoft Office Skills; including Excel skills such as Data, Power Query, Tables & Formatting and VBA
• Some technical understanding around credit risk and broader prudential risks
• Some understanding of the prudential regulatory framework
• Experience gained within a risk, credit of treasury function, preferably in a Bank
• Experience working with data sets from disparate sources
• Experience of producing insightful analysis from data sets
• Experience with the banking prudential regulatory framework
