United Trust Bank Wins Two Asset Finance Connect Awards Including Asset Finance Provider of the Year

United Trust Bank (UTB) has won two prestigious awards at the Asset Finance Connect Awards 2025.

United Trust Bank won the hard fought ‘Asset Finance Provider of the Year’ award and Nathan Mollett, UTB’s Head of Asset Finance, was presented with the ‘Outstanding Achievement’ award in recognition of his exceptional contribution to the development of Asset Finance at UTB and the wider industry.

Judges commented that Nathan ‘…significantly grew loan books at both Metro Bank and UTB, and built a high-performing, innovative team at UTB with market-leading products and outstanding financial results. Beyond his commercial impact, Nathan has championed industry development through mentoring, leadership roles, and fundraising efforts, raising over £65k for charity, and supporting the next generation of professionals through the Leasing Foundation’s NextGen Network and Industry Insights initiative.’

These latest awards follow Astrid Michael, Head of Sales – Asset Finance, and Louise McIntosh, Head of Operations – Asset Finance, winning the award for the research, design and delivery of UTB’s new asset finance digital platform in last year’s AFC Awards.

Nathan Mollet commented: “I am delighted that the whole team has been recognised for their hard work over the last year. We have delivered high volumes of new business whilst continuing to develop our digital processes and service enhancements to brokers. It’s a great testament to the team that despite the challenges we were still deemed worthy winners of the Asset Finance Provider of the Year award.

“I would like to thank AFC for giving me the ‘Outstanding Achievement’ award this year and to also thank everyone behind me at UTB. I am surrounded by a fantastic team who share my ambitions for UTB and the future of the AF industry, and it’s only through their support that I can continue to drive change, continuous improvement and encourage more talented young people to thrive in this exciting and vital industry.”
