Household budgets are certainly being stretched, but if you can afford to put some money aside there are lots of ways to save. UK Savings Week was launched to help find the best way for you, with hints and tips for making the most of your money.
According to Bank of England data, around £260 billion of UK consumers’ cash is earning no interest whatsoever. That money could be earning £millions towards a variety of goals including home improvements, holidays, extra income, little treats now and then and, of course, plain old ‘rainy days’.
