Within the Bank everyone has access to a range of training and development opportunities. We encourage all employees to pursue professional qualifications and support everyone to reach their full potential.
In 2016, UTB became a member of the ‘The Chartered Banker Professional Standards Board’ (CB:PSB). As part of our membership, we are now taking the exciting step of working towards achieving the Chartered Banker Professional Standards in 2019.
Our aim is to ensure that UTB and all our employees attain the Chartered Banker Foundation level standard for Professional Bankers.
In 2017, we introduced the Banking qualifications (Certificate and Diploma) for staff. We recognise that these qualifications are a valuable achievement both in terms of personal development and career development for all our employees. Our employees have the opportunity to achieve an ‘industry recognised’ professional standard and links our employees to nearly a quarter of a million other bankers in the UK.
UTB also provide further opportunities to obtain other professional qualifications that are targeted to employees and their specific roles. We always strive to give our employees the best opportunity to progress in their career by offering varied training opportunities.
