Should you wish to find out more about the UK mortgage market in general, or the second charge mortgage market, the following trade bodies provide some useful information.
The Council of Mortgage Lenders – www.cml.org.uk
The Finance & Leasing Association – www.fla.org.uk
As the name implies, a second charge loan is taken out as a mortgage on your home, following on from the first mortgage you took out when you bought the house. The repayments are made monthly, over a term that you select which can be up to 30 years.
Our second charge loan products are only available through a network of approved credit intermediaries based across the UK.
We only accept applications via approved introducers, who are appropriately regulated and monitored. We offer innovative and competitive mortgage products and employ a team of experienced staff who liaise with our Introducers during the Underwriting process and then Customers directly once the loan has completed. Our underwriters make reliable and common-sense decisions regarding each application we receive, and once a loan has paid out our customer service team are available to help you with any questions you may have.
