United Trust Bank’s Asset Finance division has a strong track record of funding and refinancing some very desirable cars as well as the buses, HGVs and construction plant it is perhaps better known for.
Included amongst them are various Bentleys, Rolls Royces, a Ford GT40 and a number of classic Aston Martins. Several of them have been valued in excess of £1m.
On this occasion, UTB BDM Klara Hanrahan was contacted by a broker whose client wished to purchase a new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante V12 capable of 0-60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and with a price tag of over £270,000.
The customer, a HNW individual known to the introducing broker for over 10 years, had a £15,000 deposit and required a £255,000 advance over 48 months with a £100k balloon payment. With swift credit approval obtained, Klara met the customer and the broker to sign the paperwork ensuring that the funding was in place for the customer to drive away his new supercar as soon as it arrived at the showroom.
